Positive Change Therapy is seeking a dedicated Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our team in a fully remote capacity. • Conduct virtual therapy sessions via secure platforms for individuals and groups facing terminal illness scenarios, focusing on their emotional, psychological, and social needs.
• Design and implement tailored treatment strategies that align with each client’s unique circumstances, values, and goals.
• Leverage assessment tools to identify client needs, risks, and treatment opportunities, ensuring the development of actionable plans.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to promote coping skills and emotional stability.
• Maintain meticulous and compliant clinical documentation, including session notes and treatment plans, in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing staff and physicians, to enhance client outcomes through holistic care approaches.

Your work will primarily focus on clients who are facing life-limiting illnesses. This includes providing emotional support to patients and their families during one of the most challenging times in their lives. The role is centered around understanding the psychosocial aspects of terminal illnesses, including grief, anxiety, and depression, and offering resources and interventions that promote mental well-being.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in Massachusetts.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care settings.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and prior experience delivering remote therapy.
• Experience in grief counseling and working with families during end-of-life planning.
• Expertise in conducting psychological assessments and developing treatment recommendations based on findings.
• A commitment to practicing ethical, inclusive, and culturally competent care that honors diverse backgrounds.
