Looking for Public Accounting Without the Burnout?

If you're a CPA with a strong tax background who wants to continue working with sophisticated clients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, this opportunity offers the best of both worlds.

Our client is a respected boutique CPA firm known for its collaborative culture, loyal client relationships, and commitment to sustainable workloads. You'll work with complex tax matters, help shape firm processes, and enjoy a consistent 40-hour workweek—even during busy season.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity
  • Consistent 40-hour workweeks year-round, including tax season
  • Fully remote position with a collaborative, team-oriented culture
  • Work with high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses on sophisticated tax engagements
  • Leadership that values employee well-being and long-term career success
  • Opportunity to mentor staff and contribute to process improvements across the firm
  • Stable firm with an established client base and long-term growth opportunities

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage tax planning and compliance engagements for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other closely held entities
  • Oversee complex multi-state tax filings, including sales tax, property tax, and federal excise tax requirements
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for client relationships
  • Perform technical tax research and prepare memorandums supporting tax strategies and recommendations
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, automation, and overall tax processes
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to maintain best practices and deliver exceptional client service

Qualifications
  • Active CPA license required
  • Minimum of five years of recent public accounting tax experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex multi-state tax engagements
  • Background working with high-net-worth individuals and/or corporate tax clients
  • Stable employment history with consistent career progression and demonstrated growth
  • Strong technical tax knowledge and excellent client communication skills

Why Consider This Role?

If you're ready to leave behind excessive busy-season hours without giving up challenging, rewarding tax work, this is an outstanding opportunity. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, advise sophisticated clients, and build a long-term career with a firm that prioritizes both excellence and work-life balance.
