Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while still making a profound impact on clients’ lives. Utilizing a secure telehealth platform, you will communicate with clients through video calls, chat, and other digital means, ensuring confidentiality and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct secure and confidential remote therapy sessions with individuals and groups, leveraging our telehealth platform to provide effective support.
• Complete comprehensive assessments to identify clients' emotional, social, and mental health needs, subsequently developing tailored treatment plans.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during vulnerable times.
• Assist clients in locating community resources, social services, and support systems that would bolster their recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical regulations.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and well-coordinated care for clients.
• Educate clients on coping mechanisms, effective communication strategies, and self-care practices to empower their ability to manage mental health independently.
• Stay current on best practices in clinical social work and teletherapy through continuous professional education and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will work primarily with individuals at a detox center, dealing with a range of emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial challenges. Clients may include those struggling with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health issues, and transitional life stressors. Your empathetic and dedicated approach will be instrumental in promoting healing and encouraging sustainable change.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Tennessee.
• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is mandatory.
• A minimum of three years of experience in a related field, preferably in mental health or substance use treatment.
• Expertise in telehealth technology and platforms to conduct remote therapy sessions effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective remote interactions with clients.
• A strong commitment to ethical practices and maintaining confidentiality in all therapeutic interactions.
• Ability to work autonomously while managing a caseload in a remote environment.
• Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate client needs across various time zones.

Preferred Experience

While three years of experience is required, candidates with a background in crisis intervention, addiction counseling, or trauma-informed care will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with clinical documentation systems and telehealth best practices will enhance your candidacy.
