Position Type: Remote: Full-Time (40 hrs)/Non-exempt

About Us: The Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging (MNRAAA) provides advocacy, information, resources and assistance so that older adults can maintain the lifestyle of their choice. Minnesota Aging Pathways is a free statewide service of the Minnesota Board on Aging, in partnership with Minnesota's Area Agencies on Aging. Minnesota Aging Pathways helps older Minnesotans and their families by connecting to local services, finding answers, and getting the help they need.

Job Summary: MNRAAA is seeking a full-time Minnesota Aging Pathways Education & Volunteer Coordinator. Minnesota Aging Pathways education and volunteer coordinators connect with regional organizations, partners and individuals to build relationships and educate them about Minnesota Aging Pathways, as well as recruit, train, retain and coordinate the activities of Minnesota Aging Pathways volunteers. Provide free, objective information and assistance to help older Minnesotans and their families make informed decisions about their options, Medicare, and health care benefits primarily through taking inbound calls.:

Requires a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and a reliable car.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $23.20-$27.56 per hour depending on years or relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive, clear, and objective information and assistance to older adults and their family members over the phone.
  • Recruit, train, retain and coordinate activities for Minnesota Aging Pathways volunteers.
  • Assist Volunteers in conducting education and outreach to individuals, caregivers, family members, and providers in the surrounding communities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a human services-related field, such as social work, nursing, public administration, or gerontology and one year of professional or internship experience working with older adults
  • OR Two-year certificate or degree in a human services-related field or a community health certificate with three years of professional experience working with older adults
  • AND a minimum of two years working in a non-profit setting relating to program development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four years or more of successful program development and volunteer recruitment in a non-profit setting, including goal setting, tracking and achievement.
  • At least two years in a non-profit setting providing education and outreach to the general public and internal stakeholders.
  • At least two years working in a regional development capacity.
  • At least two years of successful experience providing client and volunteer support and management including interaction reporting and documentation in a confidential setting.
