Work Environment

This position is designed for a remote work setting, allowing our therapists to maintain a flexible schedule while ensuring consistent availability for clients. You will collaborate closely with an experienced team of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care. Your work hours will be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms, including the severity and duration of mood disorders, which informs treatment planning.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring they are tailored to address specific needs and therapeutic goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to deliver effective interventions.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, empowering them with knowledge about treatment options and self-care strategies.
• Monitor and document clients' progress in sessions, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance effectiveness and meet evolving needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and medical professionals to integrate care strategies, optimizing outcomes and addressing co-occurring issues.
• Stay informed on the latest research and emerging trends in mood disorder treatments to continually elevate the quality of care provided.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy in documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in team meetings, consultations, and professional development activities to cultivate skills and share best practices across the organization.
• Advocate for clients within the mental health community, working to reduce the stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to work with individuals facing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. You will provide crucial support to clients navigating these challenges, employing your expertise to foster resilience and coping strategies. Your work not only aids individual clients but also positively impacts their families and communities by promoting understanding and acceptance of mental health issues.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices, particularly in treating mood disorders.
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and a collaborative approach to coordinating care with psychiatrists and medical teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with a diverse array of clients.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in outpatient settings focused on mood disorders.
• Track record of facilitating successful therapeutic outcomes in diverse client populations.
• Proficient in managing treatment documentation and familiar with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
