Job description

Product Manager Agentic

Hybrid - San Francisco | Full-Time Employee | Product

RhythmScience Inc.

We believe that healthcare should be proactive, not reactive. Research shows that continuous remote monitoring can reduce hospital visits and improve patient survival rates by over 50%. Our solutions ensure that cardiac patients receive timely care, minimizing risks and enhancing quality of life.

Role Overview

Expand live saving care to patients on their own terms. Own and ship RhythmScience's agentic voice care platform agents help patients prevent strokes and reduce heart failure decompensation by orchestrating their medical device care with their clinicians and cutting edge AI clinical care.  You are both the PM and the FDE. Be the first hire to transform the care of tens of thousands of patients.

What you'll do

  • Build agentic voice care across the range of interactions support calls, enrollment, adherence, check-ins, follow-up inbound and outbound.
  • You own the core architecture calls including how we handle patient data and our compliance posture.

Working with users

  • Live in the field. Shadow device-clinic staff, care managers, and front-desk teams; ride along on real calls; sit with patients where appropriate. Understand the job before you automate it.
  • Embed in the workflows and see firsthand how medications, medical devices, and patients interact in meaningful ways.
  • Discovery cadence. Run structured interviews with clinics, patients, and internal clinical ops; turn what you hear into a prioritized problem list.
  • Close the loop. Feed field findings straight back into the roadmap, and tell users what changed because of them.

Product responsibilities

  • Requirements & specs. Translate messy clinical/ops workflows into crisp product requirements PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and explicit non-goals.
  • Roadmap & prioritization. Own the roadmap and the trade-off calls; decide what ships now vs. later and defend it.
  • Metrics & experimentation. Define success up front (call containment, escalation precision/recall, latency, task success, patient/clinic satisfaction); instrument everything; run experiments; report to leadership.
  • Cross-functional leadership. Drive alignment across clinical ops, compliance/legal, engineering, sales/BD, and customer success and manage the vendor stack (telephony, STT/TTS, model providers).
  • Stakeholder management. Set expectations with customers and internal leadership; communicate status, risks, and trade-offs clearly and often.
  • Launch & iterate. Own rollout to launch clinics, gather feedback, and iterate fast 3 clinics live beats a perfect demo.

What you'll build

  • Voice stack: telephony + streaming STT + TTS + LLM orchestration, with automatic turn-taking and barge-in.
  • A healthcare-grade eval + guardrail harness (containment, escalation quality, latency).
  • A mandatory escalation-to-human path for any urgent or uncertain call the one non-negotiable, because it's patient safety, not architecture.

Required Skill & Qualifications

  • Shipped a production LLM/voice or real-time conversational system end-to-end (latency, turn-taking, interruption handling).
  • Strong hands-on engineering and product judgment you can spec it, build it, and sit with a customer while it runs.
  • A track record of user discovery and requirements work with non-technical, domain-expert stakeholders (clinicians, ops teams) you translate their world into product.
  • Data-driven prioritization instincts and clear written communication (PRDs, decision docs).
  • Comfort in regulated/high-stakes environments; you treat safety as a design input.
  • Bias to deploy over bias to plan.

Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare / clinical-ops exposure (care-team workflows, regulated environments); TCPA familiarity for outbound, EHR
  • Cardiac / CIED / RPM domain knowledge.
