Work Environment

This is a remote position that allows for flexible scheduling to accommodate the diverse needs of both clients and therapists. While working from home or another suitable location, you will conduct individual teletherapy sessions, leveraging technology to ensure effective communication and therapeutic interaction. As a member of our outpatient office team, you will collaborate virtually with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, ensuring that all aspects of your clientsโ€™ health are addressed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of mental health patients via video consultations, gathering relevant medical history and current mental health conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive mental health evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each client's unique needs.
  • Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, providing ongoing support and adjustments to treatment as necessary, ensuring that clients receive the best care possible.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient progress, including examination results and therapeutic outcomes, in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
  • Continuously engage in professional development through workshops and training to stay informed about best practices and innovations in mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Mental Health Counselor will revolve around providing care to a diverse client population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues. By utilizing a strengths-based approach, you will guide clients through their recovery journeys, ensuring a supportive and understanding environment that fosters healing and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marital and Family Therapy, Art Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Masterโ€™s degree or doctorate is preferred.
  • Active and valid licensure in the state of Vermont as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial interventions.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a strong plus but not required.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling or a related field.
