Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations with patients through secure video conferencing, gathering pertinent medical history and performing mental status examinations.
  • Develop personalized and evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs, integrating effective therapeutic techniques that promote healing and progress.
  • Regularly assess and re-evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, making necessary adjustments based on client feedback and clinical observations.
  • Document patient information meticulously, maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations while managing electronic health records.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with evidence-based practices and participating in relevant continuing education opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Peakway, you will serve a diverse population, including adults, adolescents, and families grappling with various mental health challenges. Your role is pivotal in guiding clients toward improved mental health through compassionate engagement and personalized therapeutic approaches. You will encounter individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and other psychological issues, necessitating a nuanced understanding of various treatment methodologies.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of a current and valid license (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) to practice in California.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills essential for effective client interaction.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms to manage patient information and sessions effectively.
  • Fluidity in both Spanish and English is highly preferred, as it enhances our ability to serve a broader range of clients.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling role, applying clinical best practices to deliver effective care.
  • Familiarity with psychosocial interventions and a commitment to continuing education to remain at the forefront of the field.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we offer a sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 to welcome you into our team. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
