This position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to engage with clients and collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals from the comfort of your home. While the standard work schedule runs Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, candidates should be prepared for occasional evening or weekend work as necessary, ensuring all clients have the opportunity to receive timely and effective mental health support. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans, outlining crisis intervention strategies and behavioral guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.
• Employ evidence-based screening tools to evaluate clients' needs and enhance the effectiveness of our interventions.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans that encourage client engagement and well-being.
• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes, demonstrating a commitment to high standards of service and care.
• Serve as a liaison with local service systems, state agencies, and community partners, fostering relationships to improve client access to resources.
• Establish and maintain proactive communication channels that promote the agency's mission and facilitate client support.
• Develop strategic relationships with organizations and agencies to enhance program visibility and secure potential partnerships and funding opportunities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through attending conferences, workshops, and community meetings relevant to geriatric mental health.
• Contribute to the promotion and integration of the agency’s mission, values, and principles into daily practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director, ensuring the adaptability and responsiveness of mental health services.

You will primarily serve geriatric clients, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues prevalent in this demographic, including depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Your role will involve not just individual counseling sessions but also creating an empathetic and understanding environment where seniors can openly discuss their experiences, fears, and challenges. Your ability to relate and respond to their unique needs will significantly impact their mental health outcomes and overall quality of life.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
• A minimum of 4 years of recent experience in geriatric counseling and mental health support.
• Specialized training or additional certification in geriatric mental health and age-related issues is preferred.

• Experience working within a remote health care setting or telehealth format is a plus.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities, specifically those tailored for senior populations.
• Proven ability to develop and implement community outreach programs and partnerships.
