• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and thorough case documentation from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.
• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify areas needing intervention and support.
• Create tailored intervention and recovery plans for a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing effective therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs.
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with recovery goals.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Follow up with healthcare providers concerning client admissions and ongoing hospitalization for holistic treatment approaches.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges for clients and their families.
• Provide psychoeducation and support to family members and primary caregivers to empower them in managing mental health challenges.

This role encompasses a broad and varied patient demographic, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and addiction disorders. • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• Pass the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in a mental health counseling role, ideally within a telehealth format.
• Familiarity with electronic health records systems, such as AVATAR, to streamline clinical documentation.
• Knowledge of common medical, psychological, and addiction issues that impact mental health.
• Awareness of best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Understanding the implications of psychotropic medications on mental health treatment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to convey empathy and understanding.
