  • Department: HIM Warehouse Svcs
  • Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)  
  • Shift: Days
  • Pay: 39.32 - 62.90 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:
Manages daily operations for an assigned area or function in HIM to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.
  • May monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
  • Implements system wide procedures for secure disposal/shredding of paper/documents containing PHI. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert and point of contact for record retention and storage inquires.
  • Supports special projects and business analysis as requested. Travels to different regions/locations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree. Preferred: Completion of college courses in Health Information Management, Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy.
  • Valid driver's license. 
  • Preferred: Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) through American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
  • 5 years of related experience. Preferred: Medical records warehouse experience.
