SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

JOB TITLE: Measurement Tech Analyst - Large Power/Wholesale

LOCATION: Kansas City, MO or Wichita, KS
PAY RANGE: Measurement Tech Analyst I: $54,400 - $68,000 
Measurement Tech Analyst II: $66,600 - $83,200
Sr Measurement Tech Analyst: $75,300 - $100,400
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Other hours as required)

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
The Measurement Tech Analyst supports Large Power, Generation, and Wholesale metering operations by helping ensure accurate data, reliable systems, and efficient processes.

This role involves working with metering systems and data to monitor performance, resolve issues, and support metering accuracy. The analyst also partners with internal teams and external utilities to support daily operations and improve overall system performance.

Responsibilities include supporting metering systems such as AMI, MDM, ODM, and MV-90, troubleshooting data and communication issues, and maintaining consistent meter configurations to ensure accurate billing. The role also provides reporting and analytical support, including assisting with budgeting, project tracking, and operational metrics.

Major Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited to:
Maintain accurate meter configuration and system health for Large Power, Generation, and Wholesale customers
Monitor metering data and investigate issues to ensure accuracy and reliability
Serve as primary contact for daily production issues and coordinate resolution
Configure and maintain multipliers and measurement attributes across systems
Support Billing internal teams with data issues
Assist in coordination of metering projects, upgrades, and testing activities
Track project costs and assist with budget and reporting needs
Identify and implement process improvements
Follow data security and governance requirements
Support compliance requirements including SOX controls
Monitor key Large Power customers and address issues


Education and Experience Requirements:
The preferred candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience working with enterprise computer systems and database applications is preferred, along with a strong technical background supporting maintenance and reliability-focused applications. Prior experience in the utility industry or in a technical role supporting reliability and maintenance functions is also preferred.

Additionally, the preferred candidate will typically possess one of the following:
Eight years of business analyst experience, or
Five years of relevant experience supporting Operational Device Management (ODM), Meter Data Management (MDM), Customer Care and Billing/Customer Information Systems (CCB/CIS), MV-90, and Landis Gyr Command Center systems.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Understanding of electric meter characteristics and configurations, and their impact on billing accuracy and data quality
Working knowledge of utility business processes and how they relate to metering and customer operations
Experience with or ability to learn enterprise applications supporting metering and customer systems (such as ODM, MDM, CCB/CIS, MV-90, AMI, and related platforms)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and implement process improvements
Ability to understand how systems and processes connect, and recognize downstream impacts
Effective written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Demonstrates sound judgment, accountability, and professionalism in a production environment
Ability to collaborate with others, resolve issues constructively, and support team decisions
Ability to analyze data and provide reporting and operational support

Working Conditions:
This position is primarily office-based, with minimal travel required. A remote or hybrid work schedule (Monday through Friday) may be available based on business needs and leadership approval.
