Job description

We are seeking an experienced HRIS Workday Analyst with a strong focus on Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking to join our People and Culture team. This role will be responsible for supporting, optimising and maintaining our Workday configuration, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll and time-related data across our US and UK operations and also across our Canada and Australia locations.

You will act as the functional expert and go‑to person for Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking, working closely with HR, Payroll, Finance and Operations to drive system improvements, resolve issues and support ongoing projects.

Key role responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain Workday modules related to Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking for US and UK employee populations.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Workday processes, providing guidance and support to HR, Payroll and line managers.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, data discrepancies and integration errors in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Partner with Payroll and HR teams to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing across US and UK jurisdictions.

  • Develop, test and deploy changes to business processes, workflows, security roles and reporting within Workday.

  • Create and maintain standard and ad‑hoc Workday reports and dashboards to support HR, Payroll and business stakeholders.

  • Support system upgrades, new functionality releases and continuous improvement initiatives, including user testing and documentation.

  • Provide end‑user training, guidance and reference materials to HR, Payroll and managers to drive adoption and good data practices.

  • Ensure data integrity, governance and compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.

Candidate profile
  • Strong hands‑on experience as a Workday HRIS Analyst or similar HR systems role

  • Demonstrable experience working specifically with Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking modules

  • Experience supporting both US and UK payroll environments, with an understanding of key payroll, time and leave requirements in each jurisdiction

  • Proven ability to configure, test and deploy Workday functionality, including business processes, integrations and security

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into clear, practical guidance for non‑technical users
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and compliance

  • Experience working in a multi‑site or multi‑country organization, ideally within healthcare, logistics or related industries

  • Hybrid role based in Chicago, IL, with a blend of onsite and remote work.

  • Occasional travel to other Daniels Health locations may be required for project and stakeholder engagement.

  • Able to work with wider Daniels Health organization and support UK/Canada/Australia timezones
