Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and diagnostic interviews, to determine patient needs and risk levels.
• Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with patients, considering their unique backgrounds, cultural contexts, and personal goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), within individual, couple, family, and group settings.
• Provide crisis intervention and ensure constant communication with other healthcare professionals to secure ongoing care for patients in immediate distress.
• Maintain precise and current clinical documentation in compliance with established clinic policies and regulatory standards, including progress notes and treatment plans.
• Offer psychoeducation to patients and their families, equipping them with critical skills to effectively manage mental health issues.
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers—to deliver comprehensive, individualized care for patients.
• Regularly assess treatment outcomes to gauge effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to therapy as needed.
• Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and trends in the mental health field to enhance clinical practice.
• Uphold ethical guidelines and ensure confidentiality is maintained with all patient information.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The successful candidate will primarily work with patients in a detoxification setting, offering specialized care to individuals experiencing substance use disorders and related mental health challenges. Understanding the complexities of trauma and its impact on behavior is essential in effectively serving this vulnerable population.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• An active state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for establishing rapport with a diverse clientele.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with substance use disorders and trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote service delivery techniques is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
