About the opportunity

SWCA seeks Human Resources (HR) Technical Advisor to support the evolving needs of SWCA HR leadership team, its strategic initiatives, and overall HR activities. The selected individual will have a strong understanding of SWCA, its matrix organization, its Corporate Culture, and how to lead and mentor HR teams and staff.

This is a half-time (20 hours/week), hourly, temporary position reporting into SWCA's Chief People Officer (CPO). This can be a hybrid position near one of SWCA's offices, or fully remote (= distributed).

What you will accomplish
  • Mentor and help train new leaders within SWCA's HR leadership team
  • Lead, direct, and/or organize HR functions as assigned by CPO
  • Interact with SWCA leaders nationwide to ensure that HR activities supporting company strategic initiatives are implemented successfully and communicated effectively
  • Lead or assist in implementing HR projects or special tasks as assigned by the CPO
  • Advise the CPO and the HR Leadership team on the status and potential issues related to HR projects, strategic initiatives, or other related tasks

Experience and qualifications for success
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least fifteen (15) years of operational leadership roles in the environmental services industry or equivalent
  • At least three (2) years of human resources experience
  • Knowledge of SWCA tools, processes, culture, and leaders
