Job Description

A local faith-based community organization south of Atlanta is seeking an individual who would be willing to volunteer to assist the organization in creating a long-term, comprehensive fundraising program, consisting of several major components. This will be an aggressive campaign to raise funds for an exciting, sustainable project that will have a tremendous impact on God's Kingdom through education, youth development, business development, servant leadership and entertainment media. This is a large-scale, high profile project.


This opportunity provides valuable experience for students in fundraising management and event planning. The individual can work remotely with periodic meetings in south Atlanta. This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in non-profit fundraising to come in and help build a great project.


The volunteer will research grant opportunities among government agencies, private foundations, private sector corporations and individual donors. He or she will work to develop funding campaigns in each of the three areas. 

Qualifications

The volunteer should have the following skills:
*Fundraising and/or event planning experience, including a knowledge of program and capital fundraising
*An understanding of traditional and emerging fundraising, including crowdfunding
*Ability to build strong relationships with new people and organizations 
*Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills 
*Strong interpersonal skills 
*Works well independently and as part of a team Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook 
*Database experience helpful
