Position Description & Qualifications

Serco Inc. is seeking a Network and Systems Surveillance Technician to join our team – (100% Remote) . The Network Systems and Surveillance Team is part of the Serco Wins strategy and is dedicated to ensuring seamless and secure IT operations across multiple government agencies. Through expert management of network systems and surveillance, we drive efficiency, flexibility, and cost-effective solutions while upholding the highest standards of reliability and security. This position is shift work Thursday-Monday; working hours will be from 10pm - 6am MST

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain/transfer a DoD Secret security clearance

In this role you will:

  • Provide tactical response for the monitoring and coordination of outage response and triage for all Tier I inputs to include network and system monitoring as well as communication & coordination during outage or maintenance scenarios.

  • Be responsible for providing real time operations support during major incidents as well as triage, validation, and escalation of any actual or potential network/system issues.

  • Ability to follow established guidelines, policies and procedures

  • Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

  • U.S Citizenship required

  • Associate degree

  • Or a High School diploma with 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Familiarity with Active Directory (AD) principals Education

  • Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills

  • Ability to read and follow documented processes and procedures

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification (preferred)

  • Secret clearance (Preferred)

  • Experience with Ticketing systems; Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and SolarWinds Web Helpdesk

Salary range: The hourly amount for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This role is covered by the Service Contract Act. For positions on this contract, we will pay the prevailing wage rate for the location in which the employee is working, as determined by the Department of Labor and the Wage Determination (WD). The wage rate will vary depending on the locality. Additionally, you will receive Health and Welfare Benefits based on the WD for the contract.
