Position Overview

Hopeful Journey Counseling LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist, specifically holding a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW credential, to join our team in providing critical support for clients struggling with substance use disorders. This full-time remote position offers an excellent opportunity to influence positive change in the lives of individuals and their families as you guide them through their recovery journey.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule, while also including occasional visits to our outpatient office in Gig Harbor to foster team collaboration and engage with clients face-to-face when necessary. Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, using tools and techniques to identify their unique needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices to support clients on their recovery journeys.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions tailored to utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques, ensuring a supportive space for clients to express their feelings and challenges.
  • Lead group therapy sessions, fostering a community among participants that promotes sharing experiences and strategies for overcoming addiction.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, for integrated care and to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients in emergency situations related to substance use.
  • Offer education to clients and their families on addiction recovery processes, resources, and available community support programs.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation that adheres to both legal and ethical standards, ensuring client privacy and compliance.
  • Actively contribute to staff meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development initiatives.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in addiction treatment to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, opioids, and other addictive substances. You will work closely with a diverse clientele, each with unique backgrounds and challenges, fostering a culturally competent approach that emphasizes respect and understanding.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field is required.
  • Licensure as a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Washington.
  • Proficient understanding of substance use disorders, treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented care.
  • Experience providing both individual and group therapy specifically in addiction treatment contexts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy and non-judgmental support.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience as a mental health counselor, particularly within addiction recovery environments.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic assessments and treatment planning specific to substance use disorders.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, complemented by performance-based bonuses. Additionally, a sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.
