• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and patterns of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring an accurate diagnosis.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their distinct needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), specifically adapted for mood disorders.
• Provide education to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs and response to therapy.
• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other health care professionals to deliver integrated care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to treatment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with the latest research and treatment methodologies within the field of mood disorders.
• Maintain precise and confidential records of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment strategies in alignment with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings regularly to discuss client care and enhance clinical skills.
• Advocate for clients by promoting a greater understanding of mood disorders and actively working to de-stigmatize mental health issues within the community.

The patients we serve vary widely in background and demographic, providing you with an enriching experience that enhances your cultural competence. You will work primarily with individuals grappling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their challenges and pursue their mental health goals.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Strong clinical skills with a proven ability to apply evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on mood disorders is preferred.
• Expertise in evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT.
• Demonstrated success in achieving positive clinical outcomes in treatment.
• Effective communication skills with a capacity to build rapport with clients from varied cultural and social backgrounds.
