As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Northbay Wellness Clinic, you will:

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that enable young adults to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.
• Provide individualized therapy that is empathetic and tailored to help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns, thus promoting the development of coping mechanisms and actionable strategies.
• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals and aspirations.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress through the use of assessment tools and ongoing feedback methods, ensuring a proactive approach to care.
• Work in unison with a multidisciplinary team, communicating essential information and coordinating care to ensure clients receive comprehensive support.

This role primarily serves young adults aged 18 to 30 who are undergoing challenges related to their mental and emotional wellbeing. In our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), you will assist clients in addressing various issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, equipping them with the tools needed for a successful recovery.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
• A current and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with clients and team members.
• A genuine commitment to supporting young adults on their mental health journeys.

While not mandatory, preferred experience includes:

• Prior experience working with young adult populations in a clinical or counseling environment.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation and progress tracking.
