Remote Gaming information

What is a remote gaming?

A Remote Gaming job involves working in the gaming industry from a remote location, rather than a physical office. Roles can include game development, customer support, live gaming operations, game testing, and streaming. These jobs are common in online casinos, video game companies, and esports organizations. Remote gaming professionals use digital tools to collaborate with teams and engage with players. This allows for flexibility while contributing to the gaming industry from anywhere with an internet connection.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the remote gaming position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Remote Gaming role, candidates typically need strong knowledge of gaming platforms, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues. Familiarity with game streaming software, customer support systems, and experience with helpdesk platforms are common requirements, and some positions may value industry certifications or experience with specific game titles. Standout candidates demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, patience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced virtual environment. These abilities are crucial for delivering high-quality user experiences, resolving issues quickly, and supporting both players and development teams remotely.

What are the typical work environment and daily responsibilities for someone in a remote gaming position?

Remote Gaming positions often involve working from home or another remote location, using reliable high-speed internet and professional equipment to interact with players or test new gaming functionalities. Daily responsibilities can include providing technical support to users, testing and reporting on gameplay issues, assisting with community management, and collaborating with development teams to enhance the player experience. Communication is generally handled through chat, video calls, and project management tools. You’ll often work with a distributed team and may have flexible hours depending on the company’s structure. This environment encourages independence and self-motivation while offering plenty of opportunities to grow your skills within the gaming industry.

ABOUT US
ARRISE is a global leader in software development and services for the iGaming industry, powered by 11,000+ professionals spanning multiple disciplines and 14 locations worldwide.
At ARRISE, we know a thing or two about making great games. From concept to execution, we combine creativity with technical excellence to shape the future of player engagement, driving our business and industry forward.
Our teams plan, prepare, and produce every title in a packed multi-product roadmap, having created over 1,800 slots to date. Game artists, developers, mathematicians, sound technicians, product marketers, regulatory experts, and other stakeholders from across the business all work together on delivering new player favorites at scale and pace.
ARRISE USA represents our growing footprint in one of the world’s most dynamic tech and entertainment markets. With a remote team of product experts, we’re tapping into American talent to drive the next generation of iGaming innovation.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re building a brand-new, US-based, fully remote game studio developing new slot games, and we’re looking for an experienced Game Designer to drive the vision for our games.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with a small multidisciplinary team to lead the creation of new games from the ground up with a strong focus on delivering standout themes and high-performing mechanics.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Define and deliver the overall game vision, including game mechanics, play style, and theme
  • Collaborate closely with mathematicians, artists, animators, and sound designers to bring your game to life
  • Playtest and iterate on your game’s math, mechanics, game flow, and visual presentation with an eye toward creating the best player experience possible
  • Produce and maintain clear design documentation for your game
  • Collaborate with other game designers to provide gameplay feedback and recommendations for improvement on each other’s games
  • Regularly play competitors’ games in the iGaming and land-based spaces to stay abreast of industry trends and new mechanics
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
  • 5+ years of experience designing real-money slot games for iGaming or land-based markets
  • Degree in Mathematics, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written communication skills, especially the ability to clearly communicate complex and creative concepts to stakeholders across the globe
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging game mechanics, and player expectations
  • Familiarity with wireframing software such as Figma or Balsamiq
  • You should:
    • Be able to move comfortably between strategic and detailed levels
    • Bring strong organization and structure to a fast-moving environment
    • Be extremely creative, designing experiences that are intuitive and fun
    • Obsess over detail and refinement
    • Provide, accept, and act on feedback constructively
