Your Responsibilities
  • Choose article topics selected from a pool.
  • Research and write original travel articles.
  • Pitch article topics to our Editorial team.
  • Be a dedicated and consistent contributor to the site.
  • Follow TheTravel's general Editorial Guidelines while producing unique and high-quality content.
  • Produce articles in a timely manner to ensure that the latest industry news and most interesting content are always available to TheTravel's loyal readers.
  • Work under tight deadlines and submit tasks on time.
  • Work with Lead Editor to implement feedback efficiently.

Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in producing travel and related content.

  • Experience with SEO practices.
  • Experience with a custom CMS, preferred.
  • Park ranger, NPS staffer, or seasoned parks/outdoors expert with 5+ yrs experience.
  • Knows permits, trails, seasonal conditions, and park safety firsthand.
