Summary

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join an innovative, VC-backed healthcare technology company focused on leveraging AI to improve brain and cognitive health outcomes. This role will serve as a key technical leader, partnering closely with executive, clinical, and operational stakeholders to build and scale products that support patient experiences, clinical workflows, and business operations. The ideal candidate brings deep full-stack expertise, hands-on experience with AI-powered systems, and a strong understanding of healthcare technology and integrations. This is a highly autonomous role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and driving initiatives from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering efforts across patient-facing products, clinical workflows, and internal business operations.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications, integrations, and automation workflows.
  • Develop and optimize AI-powered systems, agentic workflows, and business process automation.
  • Integrate with healthcare platforms, billing systems, CRMs, and third-party vendors.
  • Support healthcare data interoperability initiatives, including integrations involving standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
  • Build and maintain cloud-native services and infrastructure on AWS and related platforms.
  • Ensure solutions meet healthcare security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through implementation and ongoing optimization.
  • Operate as a highly autonomous contributor capable of owning technical initiatives end-to-end.
Core Requirements
  • 10+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience building applications with modern backend technologies such as Python, Go, Ruby, or similar.
  • Frontend development experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and tooling.
  • Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages.
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB.
  • Proven track record designing, implementing, and scaling high-traffic applications and services on AWS or GCP.
  • Strong hands-on experience building AI-enabled products, workflows, or automation systems.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve engineering efficiency and product capabilities.
  • Previous experience working within healthcare organizations, healthcare technology companies, or patient-care focused environments.
  • Experience with healthcare data, interoperability standards, and integrations, including HL7 and FHIR.
  • Experience integrating with third-party systems such as EMRs, billing platforms, CRMs, marketing tools, and external data providers.
  • Familiarity with connected health devices and platforms such as Apple Health, Google Health, Oura, or similar ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare security, privacy, and compliance requirements, including HIPAA.
  • Comfortable working directly with executives, operators, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently and take ownership of technical initiatives in a startup environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
