Senior Full Stack Developer

Location: Austin, TX – 5 Days Onsite
Duration: 6–12 Months Contract

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer/Engineer with 7–10+ years of professional software engineering experience to join a fast-paced engineering team in Austin, TX.

Important: This is not a Java or .NET-focused position. The primary technology stack is JavaScript, React, Golang, SQL, Elasticsearch, Microservices, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications in a microservices environment.
  • Build modern user interfaces using JavaScript and React.
  • Develop and enhance backend services using Golang.
  • Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Work with relational databases and optimize SQL queries.
  • Work with Elasticsearch and search-based technologies.
  • Develop and support applications deployed in Kubernetes environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development and bi-weekly sprint cycles.
  • Support regular production releases and improve system reliability.
  • Contribute to application modernization and technical debt reduction.
  • Recommend tools, technologies, and engineering practices that improve development efficiency and product quality.
Required Skills
  • 7–10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong Full Stack Development experience with a true frontend/backend balance.
  • Advanced JavaScript experience; strong Vanilla JavaScript is highly preferred.
  • Strong hands-on React experience.
  • Hands-on Golang/Go development experience.
  • Strong experience developing and integrating APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.
  • Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals.
  • Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with Kubernetes/K8s.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices.
  • Experience building and supporting production applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
