Job description

Net Developer

Role: Net developer

Location: Houston, TX

Hours: Primarily 9-5 CST hours

Target Start Date: ASAP

Project Details – Size, Scale, Scope?

  • Full-stack developer who can work with offshore team (C#/.NET, SQL Server, WPF services)
  • Mostly web apps but also have a few windows apps (WCF) they also maintain

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:

  • Will be coming in to help assist the current team lead/manager and be there to take over when she is away – help with management of applications as well as enhancements and upgrades
  • Primary task will be building out design for the offshore team and supervising their work (code review, mentorship, etc.)
  • 25-30% or so hands-on development work (full stack) within the.NET Stack

What are the must-have technologies/required experience for the position?

  1. C#/.NET (.NET core & ASP.net MVC)
    1. Wants to see.NET core even if just 3-6 months experience (talking through further MAY be open to us upskilling in.NET core if necessary but prefers some knowledge already)
  2. WCF (windows communication foundation)
  3. REST API
  4. SQL Server (review stored procedures, supervise table design)
  5. Basic JavaScript

Technical Environment: Not official Agile but try to do a good portion of things in that 2-3 week frame

Team Size & Structure: 1 onshore dev and then 13 off-shore devs

Needed Soft Skills/Company Culture:

Education or Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Science or similar. A M.S. in computer science is a plus as certs but not required.

Level of experience target (junior/mid/senior and/or years of experience): 10+ years (Senior)
