Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off 

Job Description:

We are seeking a Metal Products Project Lead responsible for new supplier development within the Metal Products Commodity Team. Candidate will be responsible for contract lifecycle, from supplier selection & negotiation to contract execution and transition to production. Candidate will lead a cross functional team consisting of Supply Chain, Engineering & Quality to ensure test and first article inspection requirements are met on schedule. Metal Products Project Lead will focus on supplier development within the domains of metal forming, welding, heat treat, coating/plating and precision machining. Job cadence includes weekly meetings with suppliers & internal stakeholders. This is a remote position with a 25% minimum travel requirement (mostly domestic with the possibility for some international travel).

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for management and oversight of suppliers within the Metal Products Supply Chain commodity
  • Lead cross functional team consisting of Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain in supplier qualification and development
  • Owns supplier relationship and responsible for schedule, cost and quality.
  • Main interface between supplier and program management.
  • 25% travel.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant procurement experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related procurement experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related procurement experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Comprehensive level knowledge of job area. May have in-depth knowledge of project management.
  • Experience with terms/conditions and contract negotiations, supplier long term pricing and volume agreements.
  • Experience managing suppliers with flow/roll forming, heat treat, metal plating, painting, precision machining, weld & material sourcing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Previous experience managing suppliers transitioning from development to production.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $100,500.00 MIN - $186,500.00 MAX. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $87,500.00 MIN - $162,500.00 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
