Location: corporate office in Miami, FL. Role is 100% Remote (EST and CST preferred)
Term: FTE, Direct Hire
Position Overview
Our client delivers turnkey clean energy and power infrastructure solutions across the Americas. We design, build, and operate advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and mission-critical networks for data centers, utilities, and industrial clients. Our technology-first mindset powers systems from SCADA to cloud—and everything in between.
About The Position
We're looking for an AI UPS Product Manager with project- and/or product-based engineering experience to co-lead the AI UPS electrical and controls hardware product design, documentation generation, lead system-level product technical compliance and support the development activities related to this product. This is a system-level product focused role—we need someone who can speak fluently about both power electronics, BESS systems and controls, ideally have experience with UPS systems in mission critical applications or data centers, conduct market assessment and analysis and interface with the customer, product team core product managers, as well as the project, commissioning and service engineering teams.
What You'll Do
● Conduct competitor market analysis (benchmarking) that informs the product roadmap: price, differentiators, scope, etc..
● Create and maintain the product roadmap with the product director and core product managers.
● Support the sales engineering and marketing team by providing technical support and product documentation that meet the market's needs.
● Lead continuous product improvement of the AI UPS by managing its lifecycle: from idea to functional product upgrade
● Support product development of the AI UPS by capturing design improvement feedback from the different stakeholders: customer, sales engineering, project engineering, commissioning and service.
● Train teams on product functionality.
● Compile product technical information packages for the project engineering team.
● Support review and validation of the AI UPS electrical-related product during the project execution phase.
● Participate in product design sprints with the engineering team.
● Participate in the product's commissioning phase.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, or similar technical field.
● 10+ years of product management experience in project-based or industrial settings.
● Proven system-level design experience of MW scale power electronics, BESS and related controls equipment.
● Understanding of BESS systems integration with power electronics equipment.
● Project management skills.
● Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
● Willing to travel up to 20% for product FAT inspection and site commissioning witnessing.
Preferred Plus
● Experience with UPS/mission critical applications or utility-scale infrastructure
