What is a remote financial educator?

Remote Financial Educators are professionals who provide financial education, guidance, and resources to individuals or groups through online platforms rather than in-person meetings. They help clients understand personal finance topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, credit management, and retirement planning. By utilizing virtual tools like webinars, video calls, and online courses, Remote Financial Educators make financial education accessible to people regardless of their location. Their goal is to empower clients to make informed financial decisions and improve their overall financial well-being.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote financial educator?

To thrive as a Remote Financial Educator, you need a strong background in finance or economics, teaching experience, and relevant certifications such as CFP or AFC. Familiarity with online learning platforms, webinar tools, and financial planning software is typically required. Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and the ability to simplify complex concepts are crucial soft skills for engaging and educating remote learners. These skills ensure effective knowledge transfer, foster learner engagement, and build trust in a virtual environment.

How does a remote financial educator typically collaborate with clients and team members given the virtual nature of the role?

As a Remote Financial Educator, most client interactions and team collaborations occur through digital platforms such as video conferencing, webinars, and online chat tools. Job description

Position Overview

The Easy Calming Mind Wellness Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Telehealth Professional Counselor to join our team. This full-time remote position is ideal for licensed professionals, such as Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC). As a key member of our mental health services team, you will work towards stabilizing the community by providing essential mental health support and guidance to individuals and families, ensuring access to vital resources that enhance their overall wellbeing.

About the Organization

Easy Calming Mind Wellness Clinic is a reputable community health provider located in Medford, Oregon. Our mission is to support mental health and emotional wellness by providing high-quality counseling and therapy services. We pride ourselves on fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages all clients to express their needs and work collaboratively towards achieving their mental health goals. By integrating telehealth options, we are able to reach individuals across varying demographics while sustaining continued support in a remote environment.

Work Environment

This position allows for flexibility as it is fully remote. The clinic supports a collaborative work culture, creating an environment where professionals can thrive while maintaining work-life balance. Our telehealth platform is user-friendly, ensuring that you can focus on delivering high-quality services rather than navigating complex systems. You will have access to dedicated administrative support, allowing you to concentrate on your counseling practice while minimizing administrative burdens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct remote counseling sessions with clients, employing various therapeutic modalities to address their individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes within our electronic health record system.
  • Complete and manage crisis alerts effectively, coordinating with county crisis services to ensure participants receive the required support during emergencies.
  • Oversee transitions for clients receiving hospital or inpatient services, ensuring effective communication with hospital staff regarding discharge plans and follow-up care.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques in crisis situations, providing immediate support as the Clinician of the Day, and demonstrating strong decision-making capabilities.
  • Engage in regular case consultations with colleagues to enhance treatment strategies and share insights.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in telehealth and mental health counseling.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Telehealth Professional Counselor, you will primarily work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, who may be facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your role will involve not only providing individual therapy but also family-oriented interventions and support aimed at equipping clients with strategies for managing their mental health challenges.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • An active license in Oregon as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in telehealth best practices and therapeutic techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster rapport and trust with clients in a virtual setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working in a community health setting or with a diverse client population is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing high caseloads with effective triage and prioritization of client needs will be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation practices relevant to telehealth services.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 105,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and client caseload. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development. Our benefits support your health and financial well-being, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Easy Calming Mind Wellness Clinic, we are committed to the professional development of our staff. You will have access to ongoing training, workshops, and educational programs tailored to enhance your skills and advance your career. We foster an environment that encourages leadership and innovation, providing pathways to take on new roles within the organization as you grow your expertise.

Why Join Our Team

Joining our team means becoming part of a supportive community that values collaboration and dedication to mental health. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families, helping them navigate their challenges and achieve their goals. If you are motivated by the desire to make a difference in the lives of others and seek a professional home where you are valued, we encourage you to apply today!
