DAY-TO-DAY

This full-time accounting role typically works during business hours.

As a Financial Specialist - Tax Coordinator with our software company, you're responsible for working with our tax department employees to ensure timelines are met for our daily, quarterly, and annual filings. You communicate with our applicant support team to ensure all required tax information is obtained from our clients, including account numbers and rates, for an accurate and timely setup. Using SalesForce, you manage functions for all service tickets, correction tickets, and lost client tickets. You also maintain consistent communication with our clients via phone or email.

Additionally, you research employee setup when a new tax code is generated and gather the necessary application instructions and forms. Using your strong financial skills, you maintain and reconcile quarterly 941 filings as well as the data in our payroll and tax software systems. REQUIREMENTS FOR A FINANCIAL SPECIALIST - TAX COORDINATOR

  • 5+ years of experience working with agencies on notice resolution
  • Experience with MasterTax as well as working with accounting software, HCM, CRM, and payroll systems
  • Strong knowledge of applicable federal and state tax regulations
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within payroll tax accounting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
  • Excellent people and customer service skills

At least 5 years of experience working with payroll tax operations in a multi-company, multi-state organization, or an outsourcing environment is preferred, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
