Job description

SCOPE OF WORK                                                                                                                                          

The IT Desktop Support role provides help and expertise across all software platforms and computing equipment within the Gaylor technology environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Uses Gaylor Performance Values as tools to fulfill all job responsibilities 
  • Possesses an outgoing, amiable personality, and desire to help others
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Knowledgeable in the Windows desktop environment
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Company information
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask 

RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                                                                                                                          

  • Maintains appropriate records, files, and documentation
  • Responds to support requests and takes necessary steps to resolve problems
  • Documents support issues and solutions
  • Remote problem-solving through use of remote connection tools
  • Diagnoses Windows and PC hardware issues
  • Laptop, tablet, cell phone configurations and deployments
  • Basic troubleshooting of LAN and connectivity issues
  • Performs data migrations and assists in data restorations on local devices

 EDUCATION

  • CompTIA A+ preferred; may be obtained within first year of employment

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous desktop support or IT helpdesk experience preferred
