Equivity is seeking a skilled virtual Florida paralegal with recent law firm experience and proficiency in at least two practice areas, such as litigation, estate planning, immigration, bankruptcy, corporate law, or family law.ย 

In this role, youโ€™ll work as part of a dedicated, long-term team of legal professionals, partnering directly with attorneys while remaining fully supported by Equivityโ€™s internal operations and leadership. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of law who can manage multiple cases, anticipate attorney needs, and thrive in a remote environment.ย ย ย ย 

Key Responsibilities:ย ย 

  • Intake & Case Setup: Assist with client intake, gather relevant documents and information, open and organize case files, and ensure proper documentation at the outset of each matterย 

  • Case Management: Manage matters from intake through resolution, maintaining organized files and ensuring all deadlines and requirements are tracked and metย 

  • Document Drafting: Draft, edit, and format legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other case-related materialsย 

  • Court Filings: Prepare and file documents in accordance with court rules, including e-filing and maintaining proof of service and filing confirmationsย 

  • Discovery Support: Prepare and respond to discovery, track deadlines, coordinate document collection, and assist with document review and productionย 

  • Legal Research: Conduct legal and factual research and prepare summaries for attorney reviewย 

  • Trial Preparation: Assist with pretrial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, trial binders, and coordination of logisticsย 

  • Calendar & Deadline Management: Maintain case calendars, monitor deadlines, and coordinate hearings, filings, and appointmentsย 

  • Client & Third-Party Communication: Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors to support case progressionย 

  • Case Progression & Follow-Up: Proactively follow up on outstanding items, ensure matters continue moving forward, and anticipate attorney needsย

  • Bachelorsย Degree Requiredย ย ย ย

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skillย ย ย ย
