Job description

Equivity is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to support attorneys handling bodily injury, premises liability, construction defect, property damage, transportation, professional liability, coverage disputes, bad faith, and general liability defense matters.

Join a long-term remote team supporting attorneys while receiving ongoing support from Equivity\'s operations and leadership.

What You\'ll Do
  • Manage insurance defense cases from intake through resolution

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence

  • Prepare and coordinate court e-filings

  • Organize and summarize medical records, expert reports, claim files, and deposition transcripts

  • Assist with discovery, document production, and litigation support

  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, inspections, and IMEs

  • Prepare trial binders, exhibits, witness lists, and mediation materials

  • Maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, and organized case files

About You
  • 3+ years of insurance defense paralegal experience

  • Bachelor\'s degree required

  • Experience with insurance defense, general liability, construction defect, premises liability, transportation, property damage, professional liability, or related litigation

  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation, discovery, and trial preparation

  • Excellent organization and communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

  • Experience with Clio, Filevine, or similar software is a plus

  • Available at least 20 hours/week

  • Windows-based computer preferred

  • Responsive during standard business hours (9 AM–6 PM)
