Job description

This position is Remote in EST, CST, or MST. You will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

This position is full time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm MST / Mountain Time. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work year - round, occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays.

We offer 3 - 4 weeks of paid on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm MST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer average of 60-80 incoming phone calls per day from customers and identify the type of assistance the customer needs
  • Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems
  • Communicate directly with clinical staff for patient needs
  • Medication refills, referral requests, chart troubleshooting
  • Scheduling appointments for patients - entering and updating demographics
  • Other tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1 years of experience in customer service environment (i.e., office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
  • Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to type at the speed of 40 WPM
  • Ability to work any of our full time (40 hours / week), 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm MST / Mountain Time from Monday - Friday, including the flexibility to work year - round, occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays given the business need

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 years of health care experience
  • 1 years of call center experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within Eastern, Central, OR Mountain Time Zones
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service (UHG requires a wired internet connection: cable, DSL or fiber internet service with Minimum speed standard of 25 Mb download/10-15 Mb upload. Wireless services such as satellite, hot spot, line of sight antenna cannot be used for telecommuting.)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
