The primary responsibilities of this role, are to:
Lead Global Insights agenda with assigned BUs that enables the achievement of BD long-term success with focus on Launch Excellence
Accountable for ensuring insights measurably improve launch decisions, value propositions, and commercial outcomes for priority programs
Serve as a subject matter expert in Insights formulation; design and facilitate crossfunctional workshops; coach teams on insights quality standards.
Support all stages of NPD and Launch process: from understanding unmet customer needs, formulating and quantifying opportunity areas, to value proposition and Launch/Campaign development and testing
Translate customer insights into clear, strategic recommendations that inform and influence business decisions
Partner with Business Unit, Region and Functional leaders (Marketing, R&D, Business Development, Medical Affairs) to build and deliver actionable Insights plans with clear understanding of business issues
Integrate primary research with enterprise data, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled synthesis to deliver forward-looking, decision-oriented insights rather than retrospective research outputs.
Practice Data Synthesis & Storytelling: Integrate multiple data sources into actionable insights; Craft compelling narratives and influence leadership decisions
Communicate objective, in-depth, and actionable insights and recommendations to key business partners and collaborators via reports, compelling presentations, and ad-hoc meetings
Drive insight adoption by embedding insights into ways of working, tracking usage and impact, and establishing post-launch learning loops to continuously improve future decisions.
Stay current with market standard processes, emerging methodologies, and innovative research approaches; act as an inspiring leader for Insights within BD.
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
8+ years of experience in strategic Insights and Analytics roles required
3+ years of experience in Innovation and Launch Excellence oriented roles required
Experience with conducting primary and secondary market research required
Experience in conducting Ethnographic research required
Experience in analytic methods such as, but not limited to - Volumetric Forecasting, MMA, TURF, Max-Diff, Choice-based methods required
Research methodology experience with segmentation, pricing, messaging, A&Us, etc.
Experience in leading Insights vendors
Preferred industry experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or OTC
Preferred global research experience
