This role can be worked 100% remote anywhere in the US.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
- Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Prepare and analyze benchmarking data and key performance indicators to support client insights.
- Present completed reporting packages and findings to clients as directed.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models in alignment with client engagement terms.
- Provide technical accounting support to clients and their teams on complex issues.
- Identify operational inefficiencies through client discovery sessions and recommend actionable improvements.
- Lead and coordinate the efforts of US and offshore engagement team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables, efficient workflow management, and a consistent client experience.
- Lead and coach staff and senior accountants, providing guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 4-6 years of experience in public or private accounting.
- Experience serving healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or community-based organizations required.
- Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including claims, gross revenue, contractual adjustments, fee-for-service reimbursement, and per-member-per-month (PMPM)/capitation models.
- Experience with state and federal funding compliance and program reporting.
- 3+ years managing associates and/or teams.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including revenue cycle, operations, program leadership, and executive leadership.
- Strong relationship-building skills with a client-first mindset.
- Strong planning, prioritization, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, and a demonstrated ability to embrace new technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to influence others, promote collaboration, and develop team members.
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or similar) preferred.
- Cost allocation and Single Audit experience preferred.
- Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
