Shift: Standard 1st shift working hours, Monday-Friday
Duration: 10 Months
Pay range: $75.75/hr. - $94.69/hr.
Remote with a preference on local. If a local candidate is chosen, there may be an onsite 2 day expectation.
Job Description

Purpose: Build data services and necessary UI components to modernize IMN Location Management and IMN Admin functionality. This additional capacity will speed modernization and allow the Item team to handle any unknown dependencies.
Outcome: Location legalization and the related inbound processing from DPT, GSCL (INR), IVY Clerance is a complex functionality with very strict scalability requirements. This functionality has a large number of consumers has impact across portfolios.
Core Skill: Engineer JVM Stack
Required
  • Senior-level development experience in Java and Kotlin
  • Senior-level experience with Messaging platforms (like Kafka) and exposure to microservices based architecture, including consumer and producer implementations
  • Senior-level experience in building and supporting REST APIs
  • Good database experience with Oracle Exadata, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Cassandra
  • Ability to ramp up quickly on an existing system and contribute with minimal guidance
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills
  • Availability to work during Minneapolis hours (Central Time)
  • Ability to work closely and collaborate effectively with the TII team
Nice to have
  • Experience with modular monorepo architecture
  • Experience working on framework-free codebases
  • Experience with RocksDB
  • Ability to work 2 days onsite at the TNC office
    General requirements:
  • Develop and test code to deliver functionality that meets the overall business strategy and objectives
  • Deep experience working in an agile environment (e.G. User stories, iterative development, etc.)
  • Build the work needed to implement features from the product backlog
  • Size user stories• Unit test code, create automated test scripts, and execute all other testing-related tasks
  • Test deliverables against a user stories acceptance tests
  • Execute necessary project documentation
  • Work closely with other team to ensure that features meet business needs
  • Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation
  • Work with infrastructure, security, and other partners
  • 3-5 years in an engineering role
  • 1-3 years participating in agile development
  • Experience with test-driven development and software test automation
