In this full-time, telehealth position, you will play a critical role in assisting individuals to recover from trauma and regain control of their lives. If you are committed to making a positive impact on the mental health community, we want to hear from you.

About the Organization

Addiction Counseling, LLC is a transformative organization focused on offering specialized mental health treatment to those affected by trauma. We emphasize evidence-based treatment modalities to address various trauma-related disorders, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma. Our outpatient services are designed to create a safe, supportive environment that fosters healing and resilience among our patients. As a part of our collaborative team, you will have access to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in trauma care.

Work Environment

The position is primarily remote, enabling you to provide therapeutic support through telehealth platforms. Our team is committed to flexible scheduling, allowing you to create a work-life balance that best suits your needs while still delivering exceptional care to our clients. The telehealth environment fosters dynamic interaction, encouraging innovative approaches to therapy while eliminating geographical barriers to access.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique history and mental health needs.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting recovery, resilience, and coping skills.
  • Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address underlying trauma.
  • Facilitating individual therapy sessions and group therapy discussions to guide patients in processing their trauma and developing practical coping strategies.
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other mental health professionals to ensure holistic care for all patients.
  • Providing crisis intervention support during traumatic events, ensuring timely and effective assistance.
  • Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, therapeutic processes, and available resources to enhance their understanding and recovery journey.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation while adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice.
  • Participating in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and develop integrated treatment approaches.
  • Staying current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals affected by various forms of trauma, particularly those struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role requires a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological impacts of trauma and a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. You will meet clients in various stages of their recovery, guiding them through the process with empathy and expertise.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must possess the following:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • An understanding of trauma-related disorders and resilience-building techniques.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience focused on trauma therapy is preferred, we value diverse experiences that contribute to your clinical skills. Relevant training or certifications in trauma-focused therapies will strengthen your application.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Health care coverage that supports your well-being.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to ensure a balanced work schedule.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for peace of mind.
  • Financial support for continuing education opportunities, fostering your professional growth.
  • A supportive work environment that encourages collaboration and camaraderie among team members.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Addiction Counseling, LLC, we emphasize professional development and offer clear pathways for advancement within our trauma-informed practice. We believe in nurturing talent and supporting clinical skills enhancement, making it possible for our therapists to grow into leadership roles or specializations in trauma treatment.

Why Join Our Team
