Position Overview

Sunshine Sanctuary Mental Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) for a full-time remote position. In this role, you will be entrusted with managing and treating a diverse array of patients with various mental health needs, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help enhance their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Independently assessing and diagnosing clients, creating tailored treatment plans that align with patients' individual therapeutic goals.
  • Providing crisis management and intervention when needed, ensuring that clients feel supported during critical times.
  • Conducting weekly or biweekly follow-up sessions, employing diverse therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to document treatment progress and outcomes, while also facilitating remote communication technology to maintain ongoing patient engagement.
  • Exhibiting flexibility in your clinical approach, adeptly adjusting treatment strategies based on patient responses and preferences.
  • Implementing behavior modification techniques and collaborating closely with case management teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve managing a rich variety of patient cases, including individuals battling conditions such as Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, PTSD, trauma-related issues, and grief. You will foster an inclusive, non-judgmental environment that emphasizes empathy and support, while you help each client navigate their mental health challenges.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Active licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in accordance with state regulations.
  • Strong expertise in various psychotherapy modalities and familiarity with a range of mental health disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build rapport with clients effectively.
  • No history of medical malpractice claims, substantiated through third-party verification.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
