The Avella Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. We utilize cutting-edge electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to streamline patient care, ensuring easy documentation and access to client records.

• Conducting comprehensive preliminary interviews, documenting clients' mental health histories from initial consultation through the entire treatment process.
• Evaluating clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health using standardized assessments to create a clear picture of their needs.
• Designing and implementing individualized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring they align with therapeutic best practices.
• Facilitating engaging and productive individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing and peer support.
• Monitoring client progress on their treatment plans, adjusting interventions as needed based on the client’s response and developments.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including other mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to provide holistic care.
• Following up diligently with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring additional medical support.
• Identifying potential barriers to recovery and employing preventive strategies to help clients overcome these challenges.
• Providing guidance and resources to family members and primary caregivers on how to assist their loved ones effectively.

You will work with a diverse range of clients dealing with various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. The focus is on creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. This role is vital in enabling clients to improve their mental health and overall well-being through evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Multi-disciplinary proficiency working with electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR.
• Strong foundation in understanding physical health conditions and their relation to mental health, as well as experience with addiction recovery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and empathy effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills characterized by a compassionate and supportive approach to counseling.

• Previous experience as a licensed mental health counselor in an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.
• In-depth knowledge of the pharmacological treatments administered by medical professionals and their psychological impacts.

The salary range for this position is between USD $80,000 and $100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
