Job description

Dean of Diagnostic Medical Imaging Programs.

Position Description:
Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer, the Program Imaging Director oversees and manages educational operations for all Medical Imaging programs at Charter College. This role ensures that all academic goals are achieved and that programs are delivered effectively through blended and online modalities, providing a high-quality learning experience for students. Position needs to have a Radiology background. 
Reporting Structure:
  • Reports to: Chief Academic Officer.
  • Direct Reports: Lead Instructor, Clinical Coordinator, Full-Time Instructors, Adjunct Instructors.
  • REMOTE ROLE.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory bodies through execution of academic control processes.
  • Manage day-to-day academic operations, including blended and online program delivery and student retention outcomes.
  • Provide guidance to Campus Managers and imaging faculty on academic policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Oversee instructor scheduling and academic operations impacting student access and completion.
  • Lead recruitment, screening, and selection of faculty and staff for medical imaging programs.
  • Supervise faculty and monitor performance, including evaluations, coaching, mentoring, and motivation.
  • Plan and facilitate faculty meetings and professional development (in-services).
  • Provide academic advising to students as needed.
  • Monitor and audit academic practices to ensure quality and consistency with institutional standards.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify faculty training and development opportunities.
  • Develop and manage project plans related to program growth and accreditation maintenance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners to support clinical placements.
  • Collaborate with leadership on curriculum development and program improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of medical imaging management experience (e.g., Radiology Director).
  • Current ARRT certification or equivalent (such as state licensure).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high ethical and professional standards.
  • Experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative educational metrics.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Needed location in PST or MDT time zone
