Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. You will connect with clients via teletherapy, using high-quality, secure video conferencing tools. While most of your work will be conducted from home, you will be part of a supportive and inclusive virtual team that prioritizes continuous learning, collaboration, and cultural competency training. You will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to capture individual patient experiences and inform tailored treatment plans.
• Implement appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while considering cultural and personal backgrounds.
• Lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address various mental health challenges, promoting resilience and skills development among your patients.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and allied health professionals to ensure holistic treatment and patient-centered care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating poise in challenging circumstances.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and community resources that can support their journey to wellness.
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential documentation of therapy sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and professional development sessions to enhance individual and team performance.
• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy, particularly as they relate to cultural considerations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The successful candidate will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals from various cultural backgrounds and identities, including racial and ethnic minorities, immigrants, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Your role will involve understanding their unique contexts and experiences to provide care that genuinely resonates with their needs and sensibilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Must possess a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist in the state of Virginia.
• Solid understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, with an emphasis on cultural competence.
• Proven experience in delivering therapeutic services, both individually and in groups, using culturally responsive methodologies.
• Strong crisis management skills, including the ability to de-escalate situations and provide immediate support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging meaningfully with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology for documentation and record management.
• Adherence to professional ethics and guidelines, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating effectively across various roles for optimal patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling, ideally in a multicultural context.
• Experience with teletherapy platforms and techniques to provide effective remote care.
• Engagement in ongoing cultural competency training and advocacy within a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
