Remote Escalation information

What is a remote escalation?

Remote Escalation jobs involve handling complex customer issues or technical problems that frontline support teams cannot resolve. Professionals in these roles work remotely to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve high-priority cases, often collaborating with product, engineering, or management teams. They serve as the next level of support, ensuring critical issues are addressed efficiently and customers receive expert assistance. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote escalation specialist?

To excel as a Remote Escalation Specialist, you need a strong background in customer support, problem-solving, and in-depth knowledge of the company's products or services. Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote desktop tools, and common CRM platforms is typically required. Outstanding communication, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure help you effectively resolve complex customer issues. These skills ensure escalated concerns are handled efficiently, maintaining customer satisfaction and protecting the company's reputation.

How does a remote escalation specialist collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex customer issues?

Remote Escalation specialists frequently work with technical support, engineering, and customer success teams to address and resolve advanced customer concerns. This role requires clear communication and coordination to gather necessary context, troubleshoot effectively, and implement solutions. Specialists may join virtual meetings, document issues in ticketing systems, and provide feedback to product or service teams. Successful collaboration ensures timely resolution and enhances the overall customer experience.

Nurse Practitioner: Remote Urgent Care

Belle, LLC

Detroit, MI โ€ข Remote

Job description

About Belle

Belle is a fast growing engagement company that is revolutionizing home healthcare - and it all begins with the feet. With 25M+ U.S. seniors no longer able to see or reach their feet, a lack of self care and mobility challenges cost the health insurance plans $38B+ in preventable medical spending every year.

Belle trains and manages a network of nail technicians or "Belle Technicians" who provide in-home foot care (aka medical pedicures). Belle uses cutting edge data science to identify those most in need on behalf of health plans and deploys its services accordingly. While in the home, Belle Technicians complete assessments and screenings, often being the first to identify emerging issues below and above the knee. As these issues arise, a team of remote nurses coordinate care with other healthcare providers - preventing serious and costly episodes.

Our mission: Bring Joy to Healthcare. Join us if our cause inspires you!

About this Role

Belle is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide remote telehealth support for Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in our Chronic Care Management (CCM) program. This role focuses on responding to urgent clinical escalations from our nursing team, with the majority of calls involving poorly controlled hypertension, medication concerns, and other non-life-threatening acute issues.

As a Telehealth Provider, you will assess members remotely, determine the appropriate level of care, provide evidence-based treatment recommendations, and collaborate closely with nurses, Community Health Workers, primary care providers, and care coordinators to help keep members healthy and out of the emergency department whenever clinically appropriate.

This is a fully remote position supporting a fast-growing, mission-driven organization dedicated to bringing joy to healthcare.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct telehealth evaluations for Medicare beneficiaries experiencing urgent, non-emergent clinical concerns
  • Evaluate symptoms, review medical histories, and determine appropriate interventions.
  • Determine when escalation to the member's primary care provider, emergency department, or 911 is clinically indicated
  • Document all encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
  • Assist in reducing avoidable emergency department visits and hospitalizations through proactive clinical intervention.
  • Provide patient education on disease management, medications, lifestyle modifications, and symptom monitoring.
  • Promote medication adherence and self-management of chronic conditions.
  • Provide clinical guidance and education to nursing staff on appropriate escalation pathways.
  • Participate in clinical case reviews and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
  • National certification appropriate to specialty.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice experience, preferably in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, geriatrics, urgent care, or chronic disease management.
  • Experience managing hypertension and common chronic conditions, including diabetes, heart failure, COPD, and chronic kidney disease.
  • Prior telehealth or virtual care experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and patient education abilities.
  • Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EMRs.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Benefits
  • 401k
  • PTO, Sick, Wellness leave, and Paid Holidays
  • Opportunity for significant career growth and expansion of responsibilities
  • Ability to reshape an industry and protect lives
