The Process Engineer - Payroll (ERP) participates as a payroll functional expert in an integrated process team to collect and interpret information from the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) and Local Education Agency system users for business process analyses, documentation of functional specifications, system configuration, user system testing, business process re-engineering, and system user training and support. Experience: Four years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing and payroll systems support or in payroll systems implementation. Equivalency Provision: Year(s) of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement may substitute for education on a year-to-year basis for up to two years.

Current professional certification in one of the following may substitute for two years of required education: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification, Human Resource Information Professional (HRIP) Certification, Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRMCP) or equivalent. Additional Requirements: Experience as a user of ERP payroll systems or implementing ERP systems in a California public sector (e.g., K-12 school district, community college, office of education) payroll unit is preferred.
