Job description

Epic Analyst II โ€” Radiant
Full-Time | Remote (US-based, excluding CA, HI, AK, DE) | Greater Boston Area Organization
The Opportunity
This is a fully remote Epic Radiant Analyst II role supporting one of the most mission-driven health systems in the country โ€” a 100-year-old academic medical center in the Greater Boston area whose stated goal is to make Boston the healthiest urban population in the world by 2030. The role sits at the intersection of clinical operations and IT: you are the person who translates what the radiology and imaging teams need into technology that actually works for them.
If you are a Radiant-certified analyst who has spent at least two years doing serious business systems work, this is a position with genuine scope, a meaningful mission, and the flexibility to do the work from wherever you are.
The Role
As an Applications Analyst II โ€” Radiant, you will function as the primary liaison between clinical business stakeholders and IT, with a focus on the Epic Radiant application. Day to day, that means:
- Supporting assigned customers in defining and designing business processes, identifying enabling technologies based on real operational requirements
- Actively seeking ways to apply technology to clinical workflows โ€” researching trends, evaluating options, and advising on cost-benefit tradeoffs
- Assessing near-term needs through structured discovery, building business priorities, and translating them into actionable technical recommendations
- Consulting with subject matter experts to develop alternative technical solutions and advise on risk, options, and impact across systems
- Coordinating multi-system solutions and clarifying interdependencies across platforms
- Developing and maintaining credibility with both customer management and IT personnel โ€” you sit at that intersection deliberately
This is a forward-thinking role for someone who is energized by the idea that technology, applied well, can meaningfully improve how care is delivered.
What You Bring
**Required:**
- Active Epic Radiant certification
- 2+ years of relevant experience in business systems analysis across multiple hardware/software platforms, or business unit experience that includes close collaboration with IT on system development and implementation
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication โ€” you can explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a demonstrated track record on complex technical projects
- Ability to work across functions and manage multiple concurrent projects
- Currently residing in a state other than California, Hawaii, Alaska, or Delaware
**Preferred:**
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement
- Experience organizing and executing projects from vision through implementation, including work with external contractors and vendors
- HL7 knowledge
*Note: Epic certification in the Radiant module is required. New hires without the certification must complete Epic's certification program within 30 days of completing the last required class.*
What We Offer
- Compensation is competitive and negotiable based on experience
- Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
- Retirement plan
- Paid time off
- Fully remote work arrangement (US-based with state exclusions noted above)
- A mission and culture that gives the work real weight
Why the Greater Boston Area
The organization behind this role is rooted in Greater Boston โ€” a region known for its density of world-class medical institutions, deep investment in health equity, and a culture that takes both innovation and community seriously. Even in a fully remote arrangement, you will be embedded in a system with a genuine regional identity: one that has served its community for more than a century and is now pursuing an ambitious, concrete goal for the next decade. For Epic professionals who want their work to connect to something larger, this is the kind of organization that provides that.
About the Organization
This is a large, mission-driven academic medical center with over a century of continuous operation serving its urban community. The organization operates across a broad scope of clinical services and is deeply committed to care for all patients regardless of ability to pay. Its IT infrastructure supports that mission at scale โ€” including a fully implemented Epic ecosystem โ€” and the Radiant analyst function plays a direct role in keeping that system aligned with the needs of the clinical teams it supports.
