  • At least 1 year of professional fee coding experience required
  • Strong dermatology medical coding experience required

  • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and bundling guidelines
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume medical coding environment
  • Ability to maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity standards
  • Preferred credentials include CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or another applicable coding certification
Responsibilities
  • Code professional fee dermatology encounters with a mix of E/M and surgical services
  • Review and assign accurate codes for skin procedures including destruction, excisions, biopsies, repairs, and closures
  • Support coding for lesion-related services, allergy testing, photodynamic therapy, pathology, lab-related coding, drugs, and other dermatologic procedures
  • Work within Epic to ensure timely, compliant, and accurate code assignment
  • Apply CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifier, and bundling knowledge to complex coding scenarios
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards in a high-volume workflow
  • Collaborate effectively within a remote coding support environment while managing work independently
