Overview
Due to growth, we are adding a Sr. Developer, Business Intelligence to our team.
The Sr. Developer, Business Intelligence is an expert level role that combines theory and practice to identify and communicate data-driven insights that allow managers, stakeholders, and other executives in the organization or within a state Medicaid Program to make informed decisions. A good candidate will be detail oriented, analytical, a skilled communicator, and a quick learner with experience in analytics, data modeling, or business intelligence.

Responsibilities
How do I make an impact on my team?
  • Use Qlikview, QlikSense, SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer and other product tools to create applications and data models for reporting needs
  • Identify inter-departmental dependencies and downstream impacts of changes within reporting applications
  • Extract, Transform and Load data from various data sources
  • Adapt quickly to changing reporting requirements and new BI tools in a rapidly evolving, high-growth organization
  • Take charge of ongoing data validation to ensure data integrity and reliability
  • Identify and provide insights into streamlining analytics processes and research improvement opportunities
  • Serve as analytics point of contact for state audits, legislative inquiries, and escalated analysis matters
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders or state stakeholders
  • Serve as a mentor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to teammates and business areas
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What our team expects from you?
  • BA/BS with focus on business, computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or equivalent combined education and experience preferred
  • At least five years of experience with BA/BS or three years with master's degree in analytics, data modeling, or business intelligence is preferred
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview/QlikSense, SAS, Power B.I. or other Business Intelligence software and/or data visualization programs is required. Knowledge with additional data analytic tools such as SQL, Python or R is preferred
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
