Business Intelligence Developer I (Tableau)

Location: Remote (EST Hours)

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to support reporting and analytics initiatives. In this role, you will create intuitive Tableau dashboards and deliver actionable insights that help teams make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Tableau development, a strong understanding of data visualization principles, and the ability to turn business needs into efficient reporting solutions.


Responsibilities:

• Build, enhance, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports that present complex data in a clear and meaningful way.

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting needs and convert them into practical visualization and analytics solutions.

• Develop calculated fields, custom logic, and advanced visual elements to support detailed analysis and business insight.

• Improve dashboard efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and applying Tableau-specific performance optimization techniques.

• Work with data structures and source specifications to support accurate reporting and effective dashboard design.

• Participate in Agile or Scrum ceremonies, contributing to iterative development, prioritization, and delivery planning.

• Execute testing activities across reports and dashboards, including unit, integration, regression, and performance validation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, refine requirements, and ensure reporting deliverables meet business expectations.

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience developing business intelligence solutions with Tableau Desktop; exposure to Tableau Server is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that support business decision-making.
• Experience creating complex calculations, formulas, and logic within Tableau to address reporting requirements.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and the ability to work from technical or business specifications.
• Familiarity with performance tuning methods used to improve Tableau dashboard responsiveness and usability.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment with structured development and testing practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time management, communication, and collaboration skills.
