Remote Epic ATE (At-The-Elbow) Support refers to providing virtual assistance to healthcare professionals using the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. This support is especially valuable during new system go-lives or upgrades, ensuring providers can efficiently use Epic while minimizing disruptions to patient care.

To thrive as a Remote Epic ATE Support, you need in-depth knowledge of Epic EMR systems, troubleshooting expertise, and experience in clinical workflows, often backed by Epic certification. Familiarity with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and specific Epic modules such as EpicCare Ambulatory or Inpatient is typically required. Outstanding communication, patience, and the ability to clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical users are essential soft skills. These competencies ensure efficient issue resolution and user satisfaction, which are critical for maintaining seamless healthcare operations remotely.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote Epic ATE Support professionals, and how can they be managed effectively?

Remote Epic ATE Support professionals often encounter challenges such as troubleshooting technical issues without direct, on-site access to end-users and managing communication across multiple teams and shifts.
