Job Description

RESPEC seeks an experienced Water/Wastewaterย Project Manager for our Colorado Springs, CO location.

  • Lead, manage, and oversee water and wastewater projects from conception to successful completion, ensuring alignment with project scope, budget, and timeline
  • Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and team members to define project objectives, requirements, and technical specifications
  • Conduct in-depth engineering analyses, feasibility studies, and intricate design work for water and wastewater systems
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, specifications, and other project deliverables to ensure the highest quality
  • Navigate permitting processes and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations for projects
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather essential data and provide technical guidance during construction phases
  • Manage construction activities, meticulously track project documentation, and adeptly address any design modifications or issues that arise
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to continually enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications

Required:

  • A bachelor of science degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Must be a Professional Licensed Engineering (PE) in CO or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 10+ years of proven experience in successfully managing water and wastewater engineering projects
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software for hydraulic modeling, CAD design, and project management.

Preferred:

  • Strong comprehension of water treatment, distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment processes
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex technical information
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, multitask effectively, and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Additional Information

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package.ย RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
