WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design water and wastewater treatment facilities, including advanced treatment/nutrient removal and reuse, distribution and conveyance, and related infrastructure balance of plant.ย 
  • Prepare and review design drawings, details, layouts, specifications, cost estimates, studies, reports and work products to include review of designs by others for standard conformance.ย 
  • Provide construction support and oversight including administration, limited inspection, start-up, commissioning, operations, and maintenance. ย Some travel may be required.ย 
  • Interface with project team including stakeholders, clients, equipment suppliers/vendors, and Local, State, and Federal government agencies.
  • Provide clear written and verbalย communications for internal/external project meetings, project presentations, and all deliverables.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School.ย 
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in design, construction oversight, and operation of water and/or wastewater infrastructure facilities and projects.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrickโ€™s insurance carrier.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Certifications:
    • P.E. (Professional Engineer) License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School.
  • Experience with:
    • Hydraulic modeling (PIPE-FLO, WaterCAD, Fathom, other).
    • Wastewater biological modeling (Biowin, GPSx, Sumo, other).
    • Industrial water and wastewater treatment.
    • Design Team and Project management.
    • Alternative delivery methods.
